For six years Paul worked directly with middle-school math teachers implementing IM - supporting lesson delivery, professional learning, classroom observation, and data-driven improvement. He holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus in Mathematics Education, and ensures the platform reflects real classroom realities.

The Everett pilot
In Spring 2026, across 3 Everett middle schools, 10 teachers and 506 engaged students used StarCoach as part of their daily math. Students logged 64,527 AI coaching exchanges - including 1,764 voluntary sessions over two weekends - and those who completed workshops gained +14.2 points on average (n=48).
